Your consultation with our team marks the first phase of your dental implant treatment. During this appointment, we’ll learn about your smile goals and expectations for treatment. We’ll also complete a comprehensive evaluation and medical and dental history.

Generally, if you are in good health, but are simply missing teeth, the process for receiving an implant supported bridge is straightforward. However, some patients seeking this solution have bone loss in their jaw or other health concerns like gum disease or diabetes, which will require treatment modifications. Because each case is unique, nothing we do is one-size-fits-all, and we always create a treatment plan that will restore your personal health, function, and smile.

During this planning phase, we’ll show you what you’ll look like with a restored smile using our PreVu™ smile simulation software!

Next, we’ll take 3D scans of your mouth to assess the health of your bone and existing teeth. We send these diagnostics to our partner lab where technicians will create a custom surgical guide. This guide will ensure the most precise location and position at which to place your dental implants to maximize their long-term function and esthetics.

When your surgery day arrives, we’ll have everything ready to complete an efficient and precise procedure. If you’re anxious about undergoing surgery, we’ll provide custom sedation, including IV sedation if you’d prefer to “sleep” through your procedure and not remember what happened.

If we’re removing a damaged or diseased tooth or restoring lost bone as part of your treatment, we can often accomplish this during the same surgical appointment as your dental implant placement. Once you’re relaxed, we’ll surgically place the dental implants into your natural jawbone using the surgical guide to virtually remove all room for error.

In many cases, you’ll be able to leave this surgery with a fixed temporary bridge that will provide function and restores esthetics!

Your implants need three or more months to completely heal and fuse to your natural jawbone. During this phase, the bone will grow and secure itself around the titanium posts of the implants through a process called osseointegration.

Fully healed, your dental implants will be fixed in your bone like the roots of your other natural teeth. At this time, you’ll return to our office to complete the final restorative phase of your treatment. Your final bridge will be custom-made to look and feel completely natural, while fitting snuggly over your dental implants to provide security and strength so you can bite and chew foods with ease and comfort.
